Sinclair, Inc. is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join our corporate team.
What you'll be doing:
- Support and maintain a diverse set of networks that transport video traffic between different locations around the globe.
- Maintain processes and procedures for firewalls, switches, and wireless AP networking deployments
- Develop network automation and day-2 operation practices for enterprise deployments
- Work to maintain secure and hardened Firewall architectures, incorporating IPsec tunnels and SDWAN to connect geographically dispersed locations
- Leverage Meraki Dashboard, Cisco ISE, FortiManager, Solarwinds, and other networking tools for management and monitoring of network devices and services.
- Provide tier 2/3 support to Network Team and Stakeholders as required on an on-call basis as part of a broader rotation
- Work in ServiceNow to support the organization and resolve networking issues.
- Develop, maintain, support policies and practices for the network team to elevate the levels of service that the organization provides for a diverse set of stakeholders throughout the company
- Embrace best practices bringing them to the Network Operation team to accelerate device standards, monitoring, fault analysis, and tracking of changes throughout our enterprise
What we're looking for:
- Strong experience with Meraki wireless solutions and Cisco ISE for 802.1x authentication.
- Working knowledge of Fortinet firewalls, including FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer is preferred. Additional knowledge of Fortinet SD-WAN, next gen firewall features, knowledge of Cisco routing and switching with IOS-XE and NX-OS.
- Deep understanding of LAN and Enterprise WAN architectures and how they are used to design global video delivery networks
- Expert knowledge in Network Troubleshooting with a focus on the OSI model as it relates to enterprise networking
- 10+ years' experience Maintaining and Supporting Enterprise WAN environments
- 10+ years' experience with complex LAN, WAN, Datacenter, and Cloud environments
- Strong documentation skills including creating/maintaining network diagrams and Standard Operation Procedures
- Must be effective and clear when communicating with both technical resources and C-level management stakeholders
- Must be able to work independently and as part of an operations support team for large or critical situations.
- Must be able to establish personal relationships with stakeholders understanding their needs and how best to accomplish their goals in a diverse non-standard environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where 24x7 communications are required for critical applications
- Ability to coach and lead the existing technical team in modern operations and best practices to bring higher levels of automation, documenting, and service to our internal customers
The base salary compensation range for this role is $120,000 to $150,000. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, 15 paid vacation days, 2 paid personal days, 9 paid holidays, 40 hours of paid sick leave, parental leave, and employee stock purchase plan.
