WGME is seeking a motivated and reliable Part-Time News Production Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play an integral part in ensuring the smooth production of our newscasts. Your responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate Deko, Audio, or Camera during Morning, Evening, and Weekend newscasts.


• Prepare for newscasts by:
  
  
  
  • Setting up and ensuring all fonts are ready to air.
  
  
  • Assisting with studio and set preparation.
  
  
  • Maintaining the studio environment.
  
  
  • Managing lighting for broadcasts.
  
  
  • Performing tape editing for newscasts.
  
  


• Handle other production-related tasks as assigned.

Experience & Qualifications:

• No prior experience required; however, a background in television or a related field through education or internships is preferred.


• Training will be provided to the right candidate.

General Hours:

• 29 hours per week, Monday through Friday.


• Availability to work on weekends and occasional additional hours as needed.
