WGME is seeking a motivated and reliable Part-Time News Production Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play an integral part in ensuring the smooth production of our newscasts. Your responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Deko, Audio, or Camera during Morning, Evening, and Weekend newscasts.
- Prepare for newscasts by:
- Setting up and ensuring all fonts are ready to air.
- Assisting with studio and set preparation.
- Maintaining the studio environment.
- Managing lighting for broadcasts.
- Performing tape editing for newscasts.
- Handle other production-related tasks as assigned.
Experience & Qualifications:
- No prior experience required; however, a background in television or a related field through education or internships is preferred.
- Training will be provided to the right candidate.
General Hours:
- 29 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
- Availability to work on weekends and occasional additional hours as needed.
