KUTV, a multi-platform media company that provides important storytelling content on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and a host of digital platforms, is looking for a take-charge Digital Multimedia Journalist (MMJ) to cover Southern Utah. This employee would be based in Washington County, Utah, near St. George.

We are seeking a motivated, energetic, creative, and aggressive content creator who has a passion for covering our local communities on the every KUTV platform, including  KUTV.com, our mobile app, and social media platforms. The ideal candidate should also have sound writing skills, a great work ethic, and a can-do attitude. This Digital MMJ position is ideal for someone with at least two years of professional newsroom experience.  Applicants with a strong portfolio of student work will also be considered.
No day will look the same as a Multi-Media Journalist, however, the main responsibilities of the role will include:
 

• Create, shoot, write, and edit meaningful stories focused on advocacy and accountability


• Provide news as directed from the news management team


• Engaging with local community members


• Reviewing material for fairness, accuracy, and balance


• Work closely with all members of the news team

Additionally, This Person Should Have A…
 

• Proven knowledge and experience working with current media creation tools


• Excel in storytelling across multiple platforms


• Strong writing and copy-editing skills are a must


• Must be able to work well under pressure to meet deadlines
   

This Digital MMJ position is ideal for someone with at least two years of professional newsroom experience.  Applicants with a strong portfolio of student work will also be considered.
