Are you a dynamic sales leader with a passion for coaching and developing high-performing media sales teams? Sinclair is looking for a Sales Training Manager to help lead best-in-class training experiences that deliver real results in AMP Sales and Marketing across the country.

Whether you come from a formal training background or are a seasoned media sales leader who coaches reps every day, we’re seeking someone who can blend strategic thinking with hands-on execution. This individual must be equally comfortable in the classroom and in the field—able to engage, inspire, and equip teams with the skills they need to succeed.

As a Sales Training Manager, you will also serve as a facilitator and subject matter expert at company conferences, in-market sessions, and virtual trainings.  A strong stage presence, effective presentation skills, and a collaborative mindset are essential. Additionally, a key responsibility of this role is maintaining fluency in our evolving tech stack, learning management systems, and internal tools—and leading efforts to retrain sales teams as platforms and processes evolve.

In this role, you’ll be part of Sinclair’s powerhouse Sales Training team and Training Center of Excellence, where your impact includes:

  • Centralizing sales training tools, assets, and resources for nationwide use

  • Helping sales teams align with internal departments to maximize revenue

  • Improving ROI through scalable, repeatable learning programs

  • Reducing duplication of efforts across the organization

  • Accelerating rep onboarding and ramp-up timelines

  • Sharing best practices, top-performing examples, and key wins from the field

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, high-impact training sessions for monthly new hire cohorts, national sales events, conferences, and in-market visits

  • Identify skill gaps and training opportunities using performance metrics, feedback from sales leaders, and industry trends

  • Lead new hire onboarding efforts, ensuring accelerated time to productivity and confidence

  • Continuously retrain on Sinclair systems (e.g., CRM, Vivvex, Buzzboard, Topline Futuri) and coach others on platform updates or process changes

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the media sales environment and adapt training for time-constrained, client-facing learners

  • Partner with the LMS Administrator to optimize courses, assessments, and learning pathways

  • Evaluate training success and iterate based on feedback and performance data

  • Collaborate with the Learning & Organizational Development team to create scalable, on-demand content

  • Serve as a role model and internal coach—spotlighting and sharing examples of excellence across the company

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in sales training, media sales, or sales leadership

  • Strong knowledge of media sales workflows, including digital and broadcast

  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills for both in-person and virtual audiences

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word

  • Confident public speaker with experience leading sessions for diverse and large groups

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills—written, verbal, and cross-functional

  • Strong project management skills with attention to detail and deadlines

  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, team-driven environment

  • Up-to-date on industry trends, tools, and training best practices

  • Comfortable giving and receiving constructive feedback to drive performance and learning

If you’re ready to make a nationwide impact, accelerate the growth of media sales teams, and continue building Sinclair’s legacy of excellence—we’d love to hear from you.
